Adam is an Australian entrepreneur and the CEO and founder of
OpenLearning, an online learning platform that aims to make education more
accessible and engaging for people worldwide. OpenLearning provides a collaborative
and user-friendly environment that allows instructors to create and deliver
courses incorporating multimedia content, social learning, and gamification.
The platform has over 2 million users and offers courses from more than 70
institutions and organizations globally.
Adam holds a Bachelor of Engineering (Software) and Bachelor
of Arts (Politics) from the University of New South Wales, Australia. He
co-founded UNSW Computing Support, a student organization providing technical
support to students and staff during his time at the university. After
completing his studies, Adam worked as a software engineer and consultant for
several companies before founding OpenLearning.
Adam's vision for OpenLearning has earned him several awards
and recognition. He is listed in the 2017 Forbes 30 Under 30 Asia for Consumer
Technology and in The Pearcey Foundation 2018 NSW Tech Entrepreneur Hall of
Fame.
Mrs. Kana Akagi is an experienced entrepreneur in multiple fields
for over two decades. She is now contributing to the Kyoto entrepreneurial
ecosystem and help amateur entrepreneurs start their exciting journeys in
Japan. She founded the Kyoto University International Entrepreneurship club and
more than 200 Kyoto University students and graduates from 40 different
countries and diverse backgrounds are joining it. She is an author of two books
on how to lead a successful life by prioritizing family over business. She is a
core member of the art and tech project by the Kyoto prefecture government for
creating the new hub spot for diverse entrepreneurs in Kyoto specially related
to art, nature, and technology fields.
